Annual Events:

Job Shadow Week

February 4-8, 2019

This week-long event allows our teachers to spend time in the workplace, learning through direct experience about trends, skill requirements, and opportunities in industries related to their subject in order to enrich and strengthen their teaching and bring relevance to student learning.

Principal Industry Visits

Alongside Partnership Gwinnett, The Office of Academies and Career and Technical Education hosted a principal field trip consisting of four visits to local businesses that have a national presence. In these visits, principals learned about industry trends, skills their students to need possess to be competitive in the workplace, and the future prospects of Gwinnett County. During these visits, principals were also given the opportunity to network with community leaders, school district officials and other local business leaders.
